They run in 6 week blocks but you can start any week that suits as long as we have space. Please note that spaces are limited.
How much does it cost and what happens at the class?
The classes run in 6 week blocks which costs £72 in total. Each class lasts around an hour.
Our classes involve yoga for mum, yoga for baby and some lovely deep relaxation together. All of the postures can be practiced with or without your baby, depending on how you prefer to focus. A typical session includes baby stretches to take small bodies through a full range of movement which often astonishes (and inspires) their mums including incorporating baby massage; breathing and focused yoga postures for the mums, and postures-for-two to give mums and babies new ways to relate to each other. For mummies, we focus on gently working your BAP's (back, abs and pelvic floor,) slowly helping to build strength, stamina and fitness. We will finish every class with some coffee/tea, cake and a chat :)
How do I book a space?
Please click the link below if you would like to book. Here you can fill out the health questionnaire and let me know when you would like to start and I will book you in as close as possible to that date. The payment is due before the first class.
When is it best to start?
Normally, I would recommend at least 6 weeks after you have given birth. If you have had a caesarean section, then I would recommend 8-10 weeks. As always, the most important thing is to listen to your body, if you are in any pain or discomfort, just wait a few weeks :) During the class there is no pressure for you or baby to do anything that's uncomfortable and there's no need to have any yoga experience either. During class, don't worry if your baby cries, needs feeding, sleeps etc. This class is an enjoyable one so 'go with the flow' is the motto! Our classes are suitable for all levels of yoga practice so please don't worry if you have never done yoga before.
What do I need to bring?
Please bring along your own yoga mat and anything else that you might need to make you both comfortable. Also bring a bottle of water and wear some loose comfortable clothes for your yoga practice.
What happens if I miss a class?
The reason we run the classes in blocks is to give you a chance to experience our full range of classes within each block, as our classes are not made to be one off or drop in - community and building our local 'village' is very important to us. We need to be sure who will be there each week so that there is plenty of room for everyone. We only take a certain number of mums and babies at any one class. If you miss any classes I'm afraid you can't carry them over and your block must be used be consecutively (although I will always try to accommodate pre booked holidays, appointments etc.) If you have any questions about bookings, missing classes or anything else just let me know.
